lets see..this is the walking day, i set out looking for lunch. the place royal is about a 15-20mins 'uphill' walk from the hotel. here we go....

ARGHHH...why does it have to keep reminding me magrittes museum isn't opening until june?
the museumbrasserie at the musees royaux des beaux-arts is highly recommended by my guidebook and since i was going to the museum anyways...voila! the chef apparently is one of the only two chefs in brussels that has received three michelin stars before. the entire menu is authentic belgian cuisine. i got the traditional kriek marinated pork. it came in a small pot with endives side salad and frites! everything was delicious, super yummy.

i stumbled upon this painting by jacques-jean david and i thought of middle school when i had to do a history project on this painting. i had to write a letter like the one in the painting. to make it real, i dyed it with tea bags to make it yellow-ish then crumbled it. i think i even burned the edges a little and the letter kind of caught on a little bit too much fire.
