quel ordinaire

time flies, i can't believe its thursday again.
paris is full of hidden gems. i would have never paid attention to so many places if not for the architecture class. we went to two bourses and three historical shopping arcades in the 1st&2nd arrondissement today- palais royal, galerie vero-dodat, and galerie vivienne.
cherry on top? witnessed a 'greve' with air guns going off every 30secs. quite an extreme reaction to the economic crisis. just further proves thursday=protest day. the prof insisted on exaplaining the building that used to be the stock exchange so we were right beside the protesters for a good 15mins. i was quite scared to be honest, it was awfully smokey and loud. im glad i covered my ears or else i might have lost my hearing. now, warning, please excuse my rant: i still don't really understand the logic behind protesting in such a severe way, wouldn't it make sense to work during those hours if you want a better economy? plus, its very eco-unfriendly to blast so much stinky smoke (well, i doubt they really care though, they already go through cigrettes like water everyday). oh wells, what can i say? its france.
galerie vero-dodat (i spy louboutin!)
galerie vivienne
uh oh...vats going on?
no biggie, you know...JUST a greve. i put my camera away once past this point but see the smoke? thats where we were and it only got worse. how lovely.
